Our Story
The Henderson and Wing families have lived and worked in Teesside for five generations. Bricklayers and welders, plumbers and builders, electricians and boilermakers. Teachers, factory workers and labourers. Publicans, painters and decorators, social workers and support workers. Musicians, designers, business owners, people who served in the armed forces, and sportspeople who competed nationally and internationally.
Ray Henderson was born and raised in Billingham in 1955, the youngest of nine. Clare was born and raised there too, in 1958, one of seven. They married in 1982. Their three sons hold the company between them today, in equal thirds.
HW Legacy Holdings Limited was incorporated in 2019 as the family holding company. It acquires, refurbishes and operates serviced accommodation in the Tees Valley, on streets the family has known for a century.

Who Runs It
Paul Henderson
Managing Director
Oversees the portfolio and the managing agent, and is accountable for every property the group holds. Law-trained, with twenty years operating businesses across several jurisdictions.
Martin Henderson
Director
One of three equal shareholders. Brings an engineering and trades background to specification and build quality.
Michael Henderson
Director
One of three equal shareholders.
